Major disruption and buses diverted after crash on busy Dudley road

A major disruption has been called in Dudley following a road traffic collision on a major road into the town centre.

Delays are expected on the A4123 New Birmingham Road after a collision at the junction with Burnt Tree.

West Midlands Roads described the incident as a 'collision across the junction' in their post on X, and declared a major disruption.

The number 74 bus has been forced to divert from Dudley Town via Tipton Road and Birmingham New Road. National Express West Midlands apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Delays are expected following the crash, which took place on a route already affected by roadworks nearby.

Drivers are advised to allow for plenty of time to complete their journeys if using the New Birmingham Road, and should look to take alternative routes where possible.
