‘We celebrated our 63rd Valentine’s Day as husband and wife at a care home in Dudley and it was lovely’
A Dudley couple married for 63 years have told how the celebrated Valentine’s Day together at a local care home
It’s the 63rd time that Judith and Keith have celebrated Valentine’s Day as husband and wife since they wed in 1963.
And this year the pair marked the occasion in style at Broadway Halls care home in Dudley which was filled with flowers, cards and sweets.
Judith and Keith said: “It has been a lovely day. It was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to plan a lovely meal for us both.
“We really liked our chocolates from Hotel Chocolat. We were both very touched.”

Judith and Keith have been residents at Broadway Halls since October 2025. They weren’t the only Broadway Halls residents to enjoy a special day for St Valentine.
Staff handed out chocolate hearts to everyone living there.
General Manager, Nicholas Drinkwater, said: “We’ve all had a lovely day decorating the home and making gifts for each other and for our loved ones.
“Lots of our residents were able to see their loved ones either in person or via video call. We’ve had a whole range of treats and Valentine’s themed fun and we have enjoyed every moment of it!”
