Opening of Dudley's £24 million bus station delayed until autumn
The opening of Dudley's £24 million new bus station has now been delayed until the autumn.
A spokesman for Transport for West Midlands confirmed that the new station, which was due to have opened in spring, would not be finished until later in the year.
The news will come as a blow to traders, who say the disruption has turned Dudley into a ghost town.
Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said he was 'pretty brassed off' with the delay.
Work started on the project in January 2024, following a protracted legal battle with supermarket giant Farmfoods, whose shop was demolished to make way for the scheme.

The news comes just weeks after it was revealed that the opening of the West Midlands Metro tram line to the town had also been delayed until August - two years behind schedule.
