A man has died following a house fire in Dudley.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a property on Green Park Road, Dudley at 5.14pm on Monday, February 2.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were sent to the scene.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said crews found a man inside the property but, despite their efforts, it quickly became clear he could not be saved and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people were assessed by medics outside the property. A man was treated for suspected smoke inhalation and taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further care.

Two women were also checked by ambulance staff. One was treated for suspected smoke inhalation but declined hospital treatment and was given self-care advice, while the other did not require further treatment and was discharged at the scene.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
