To the outside eye, the Black Country community of Wren's Nest, only minutes away from Dudley town centre, may seem like your everyday, run-of-the-mill neighbourhood.

With a rich history spanning hundreds of years, Wren's Nest isn't only home to a friendly and welcoming community, but is also home to one of the most important geographical locations in the whole of the country.

The Wren's Nest, or Wren's Nest Hill, is a geographical Site of Special Significance (SSI), a listed national nature reserve (NNR) and a site that is home to more than 700 types of fossils, being renowned among fossils across the country.

However, it's not only known for its fantastic hill, as only a minute's walk down the hill is the neighbourhood of Wren's Hill, where community resilience and togetherness thrive.
