Sighting of mysterious UFO dubbed 'The Dudley Dorito' reported over West Midlands for first time since 2023
A mysterious triangular UFO dubbed the 'Dudley Dorito' has re-appeared in the region's skies after going almost two years without being seen.
A resident in Brierley Hill has shared images of a mysterious object flying in the sky near Merry Hill Shopping Centre, suggesting it has some resemblance to the 'Dudley Dorito' sightings reported in the area over the last 20 years.
Posted in the 'Black Country Paranormal' Facebook group, the pictures taken by 'James' appear to show a flying object with flashing lights above Thorns Road, Brierley Hill on Friday, November 21 at 7.17pm.

The post reads: "Thinking that he was seeing a formation of Starlink satellites, he pulled over in a cul-de-sac just before Steven’s Park to get a better look.
"The craft was a huge black rectangle, with lights on each of the corners. After observing this craft for a short while, it silently flew towards the Merry Hill Shopping Centre, and out of his view.
"While this sighting was occurring, James checked on Flight Scanner to see if there was any air traffic in the vicinity that could explain what was witnessing, however there was none.
"James was able to take several photos as this object moved away.
"James' sighting has some resemblance to the “Dudley Dorito” sightings that have been reported in the area over that last 20 years. Starting in 2007, this craft has been observed all over the Black Country."

The sighting comes two years after David Banner, 38, was walking home from a bus stop in Wolverhampton when he spotted something "flickering and darting" above him.
He started filming it and ended up with a clip showing the object flickering in the sky for a few seconds on Sunday, December 17 at about 7pm in the Ettingshall Park area of Wolverhampton.
In 2011, property worker Gary Nock and his family were on the car park of the Badgers Sett pub, Hagley, when they also saw the distinctive object flying overhead.
The 52-year-old said the UFO, a black triangle with white lights at each end, was flying at low altitude from the direction of Birmingham.
He said the object had turned silently in the air and they had eventually lost sight of it as it passed over the Clent Hills.
