Appeal launched after car crashed into bike in Dudley before driving off

Police are appealing to trace the driver of a car that crashed into a bike in Dudley before driving off.

The incident, which occurred on July 19, saw the driver of a silver hatchback clash with a cyclist after turning right from Withymoor Road - into St Peter's Road - at around 11.30pm.

The driver of the car did not stop and the rider suffered serious injuries.

In a statement, West Midlands Police said: "Our officers have, and continue, to carry out multiple enquiries but have so far been unable to identify the driver.

"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident, or may have information, to come forward.
