Tributes for three victims of a fatal road collision in Upper Gornal continue to grow as flowers and balloons are laid at the site of the crash

Tributes on the scene of the fatal car crash in Upper Gornal continued to grow over the weekend.

Well-wishers have been leaving floral tributes and heartfelt messages at the scene of a crash in Upper Gornal which resulted in the deaths of three men in their 20s. 

The crash victims, two aged 22 and another aged 28, died following the three-vehicle crash at the junction of Highgate Street and Clarence Street, Upper Gornal, on Wednesday morning (August 6).

A new video taken on Monday, August 11 morning shows balloons, flowers and cards have been left at the scene in Dudley.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from West Midlands Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said last week: “This is a truly awful tragedy and our thoughts remain with loved ones of all those affected.

“Specialist family liaison officers are continuing to supporting them at this most dreadful time.

"Investigations are progressing and we'd urge people not to speculate on the circumstances.

“If anyone has any information about the collision or any footage of the collision or the vehicles beforehand, I would ask them to get in touch with us.”
