Attraction's search for 'zooperheroes' to raise funds for endangered species
Dudley Zoo is searching for 'zooperheroes' to take part in a sponsored walk in aid of endangered species.
The attraction is asking visitors to help tackle the threats faced in the wild by different species by donning capes and masks for a five-kilometre (3.1-mile) walk around the Castle Hill site.
Funds raised will go towards the Painted Dog Conservation organisation as well as the zoo's own conservation projects to help support wildlife.

The walk is open to all ages, and will take place around the 40-acre site on September 27.

Participants will be asked to pay a £10 registration fee which will include admission to the zoo, meaning they will be able to see their favourite animals along the way - including the newly arrived pack of painted dogs.
Zoo director Matt Lewis said: "We're really excited for this event, which is going to be great fun for all the family.
"We're encouraging participants to dress in capes and masks and come and be a 'zooperhero' for wildlife, and use their superpowers to help us raise funds not only for Painted Dog Conservation, which works to protect and rehabilitate painted dogs in the wild, but also our own on-going conservation work on site."
The person who raised the most sponsor money would be able to adopt an animal as a prize.
People can register for the walk at Dudleyzoo.org.uk
