Car overturns after hitting a tree in Quarry Bank

A man and woman escaped uninjured after their car overturned after hitting a tree.

Paramedics and fire crews were called to Woodland Avenue, in Quarry Bank, at around 3.20pm on Saturday.

The car struck a tree before overturning. Both the occupants of the car, a man and a woman, escaped uninjured – but damage was caused to the tree.

Brierley Hill fire station shared dramatic photos of the overturned car on their Twitter account.

A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to Woodland Avenue at around 3.21pm on Saturday – an ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

"It involved a single car rollover at low speed – hitting a tree.

"A man and a woman was in the car. The male didn't want to be assessed.

"A female, in her 20s, self extricated. She had no obvious injured and declined hospital conveyance."
