Love is in the air at Black Country Museum with romantic proposal
Love was in the air at the Black Country Museum recently with a romantic proposal in the Bottle and Glass Inn.
Peaky Blinders fan Kay Ephgrave proposed to her partner Stef Hall at the Dudley-based attraction – where the hit BBC drama series is filmed.
The couple, who met through Instagram, have been together for just over a year.
Shortly after entering the inn, 27-year-old Miss Ephgrave's two-year-old son presented 29-year-old Mr Hall with the ring. The floor of the Bottle and Glass Inn was scattered with rose petals, lit with candles and heated with a roaring fireplace.
Even though Miss Ephgrave is originally from London, she feels deeply connected with the Black Country – and thought the museum would be the perfect place.
She said: "I am a massive fan of the Black Country’s culture and history. I grew up with my grandparents, who are from Dudley, talking about it all the time.”
Mr Hall, from Brownhills, added: "The experience has been magical, especially at the brass foundry, where we received a brass heart.”
The newly-engaged couple also enjoyed a complimentary lunch in the museum's popular fish and chip shop, Hobbs and Sons.
