Woman rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Bridgnorth

A woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Bridgnorth.

The incident in Whitburn Street, near to the Sainsbury's supermarket occurred at around 6.45pm on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We were called to a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Whitburn Street in Bridgnorth, on January 21 at around 6.45pm. 

"The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, suffered a serious injury and was taken to hospital. No arrests to report."

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a low speed RTC involving a car and a pedestrian on Whitburn Street, Shropshire at 7.11pm last night (Tuesday 21st January). 

"One ambulance attended the scene and assessed the pedestrian, a woman, who had sustained a potentially serious injury. She was treated and conveyed to Princess Royal Hospital for further care. "
