Three lanes closed on M6 southbound after collision between three lorries causes long delays
Emergency services have responded to an accident involving three heavy goods vehicles on the southbound M6 near Birmingham.
Three of the four lanes were closed on the M6 southbound between Junction 7 (at Great Barr) and Junction 6 (A38M, Birmingham) due to the collision.
Emergency services and National Highways West Midlands traffic officers were on the scene.

Long delays were reported on approach to the incident, and motorists were advised to allow for plenty of time to complete their journeys and to take alternate routes where possible.
All lanes were reopened as of 4.03pm, with National Highways West Midlands urging all road users to allow extra time for journeys whilst delays clear.
A highways spokesperson said: "All lanes have reopened on the M6 southbound, between Junction 7 (Great Barr) and Junction 6 (Birmingham) following a collision involving three HGVs.
"Please still allow extra journey time whilst delays clear.
"Thank you for your patience. Please have a safe journey onward."
West Midlands Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Fire Service have been approached for further information.
