The land, at Victoria Road in Aston, Birmingham, located just off a major traffic island that runs onto the A38(M), is the latest unused asset being sold off by the cash-strapped council to try to raise funds.

With a guide price of £400,000-plus, the plot - which could be suitable for a variety of uses - is set to go under the hammer in Bond Wolfe's next auction on Wednesday February 5.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said the 0.79-acre site was next to Masjid-E-Noor Mosque and opposite the Victoria Road Evangelical Church.
