Full list of buses diverted due to icy conditions on West Midlands streets - including areas of Birmingham, Oldbury and Willenhall
Bus services across the West Midlands have been diverted due to icy conditions on a city street this morning (January 2).
Commuters are being warned of disruptions to local bus routes due icy conditions on local roads - with services in Birmingham, Oldbury and Willenhall affected.
Here is a full list of routes affected by unsafe conditions this morning (Jan 2):
Service 13 - Tame Road (Oldbury): Diverting in both directions via Queensway, Wolverhampton Road, Pound Road, Grafton Road and Lansdowne Road.
Service 13 - Salop Road (Oldbury): Diverting in both directions via Abbey Road, Norman Road and Pottery Road.
Service X22 - Jiggins Lane, Adams Hill (Birmingham): Diverting in both directions via Clapgate Lane.
Service 37 - Stroud Avenue (Willenhall): Diverting in both directions via Birchtree Hollow, Bentley Lane and High Road.
Service 45 - Longbridge (Birmingham): Buses will not serve Tunnel Road or Trevol Road, but will use Green Lane instead.
Service 24 - Woodgate Valley North (Birmingham): Buses will not serve Highfield Lane, instead they will continue along Quinton Road West.
Service 48 - Hawkesley (West Bromwich): Beckbury Road closed, buses will use Castle Road in both directions.
Service 35 Hawkesley (Birmingham): Buses will divert via Parsons Hill and Masshouse Lane, Hillmeads Road will not be served.
Travel officials have apologised for any inconvenience caused and say safety remains the priority.
Motorists and pedestrians are also being urged to take extra care in the area while freezing conditions persist.
It comes after snow was seen falling over the West Midlands this morning (January 2) following the Met Office's 'yellow' weather warning covering the region.
The warning, which came into affect today, covers Birmingham, Wolverhampton and the Black Country as well as Shropshire, Staffordshire and Mid Wales.
