Birmingham Airport investigating after 'faulty lift dropped flight crew'
Birmingham Airport bosses have launched an investigation after a faulty lift carrying flight crew plummeted to a lower floor, leaving a worker feeling unwell.
The incident on Monday (December 1) resulted in a flight to Lanzarote being delayed after the worker complained of feeling unwell.
Birmingham Airport said safety was its top priority and it was in contact with the airline affected to better understand what happened.

An eyewitness claimed that the cabin crew were inside a lift which dropped several floors, Birmingham Live reported. They were able to get out of the lift.

A Birmingham Airport spokesman said: “We are aware of an incident which we are investigating, but we are not aware of any first aid being requested or required at the time.
"We are in contact with our airline partner to better understand what happened whilst inquiring about our airport colleagues involved.
“Safety of all our colleagues and customers is a number one priority.”
