The new owners, a local family passionate about traditional hospitality, have restored the interior and provided what they believe Moseley wants most: a community pub.

Gary McDonnell, Joint Owner of Kennedy’s, and who has a successful record of running venues including Hennessey's in Digbeth, said: “From day one, our goal has been simple: to bring back the type of pub you can pop into any day of the week and feel right at home,” said . “Good beer, good food, good company — nothing gimmicky, just a classic pub that anyone can go into with the added bonus of live sports and music.”

Fitted with an array of screens throughout the venue live sports will be screened every day. From Premier League fixtures and international football, to rugby, cricket, boxing and more.

Kennedy’s aims to become Moseley’s go-to sports venue. A giant outdoor garden screen means key matches and tournaments can also be enjoyed in the open air.

The garden now features a heated marquee, allowing guests to enjoy the outdoor space year-round, no matter the weather.

The kitchen at Kennedy’s focuses on classic pub dishes: hearty, familiar favourites served without fuss. There will be burgers, pies, fish and chips and bar snacks — all designed to pair perfectly with a cold pint. Sunday Roasts will start in the new year.

The drinks line-up features a strong range of beers, ciders and ales, with a rotating selection of local options, plus wines, spirits, and alcohol-free choices.

Alongside live sports, the pub will host regular live music, bringing together local performers and established acts for weekend entertainment. The launch weekend will feature Lynne and the Encore as well as Push to Play. On Sunday’s there will be speed quizzing.

For something a little different, Kennedy’s also offers interactive darts, giving customers an engaging, high-energy social experience suitable for groups, celebrations or casual nights out.

Mr McDonnell said: “Community is at the heart of everything we’re doing,” Mr McDonnell added. “We want Kennedy’s to be the kind of place where people meet and unwind — where Moseley feels like Moseley and where we are part of the Moseley pub community.”
