'Dangerous' man, 18, locked up for Birmingham city centre attacks which left one with life-changing injuries
A teenager is behind bars for inflicting life-changing injuries in unprovoked attacks on three people in Birmingham city centre.
Callum Bennett, aged 18 and from Birmingham, carried out three separate unprovoked attacks during January and February of this year, with the first attack happening on New Year's Day.
Bennett approached a man in a bar on Broad Street before punching him in the face, leaving him with a broken jaw.
In the second attack, on January 25, Bennett was in the same bar when he began a conversation with a man.
The man walked away from Bennett; however, the teenager followed him and hit him in the head several times.
Then, on February 23, Bennett followed a man in the city centre before punching him from behind, which caused him to fall to the floor.

The man was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries.
Birmingham officers launched an investigation into the three offences, and later identified Bennett as the offender in all of them.
He was arrested, charged and then admitted to the offences.
He was sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court on October 10 to five years in a Young Offender Institution.
PC Katie Petherick, from Birmingham Police, said: "Bennett is a dangerous individual who harmed three people in completely unprovoked attacks.
“Thanks to thorough investigative work, we were able to identify him as the offender in all three cases, and it is right that he is now behind bars as a result of his actions.
“Our thoughts have remained with the people he assaulted, and we are continuing to offer them our full support."
