Three teenagers arrested after stolen car and 'firearm' recovered in Birmingham
Three teenagers have been arrested after police recovered a stolen car and 'firearm' following a pursuit in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police officers responded to reports of the stolen vehicle near Perry Barr just before 9pm yesterday (September 27).
After a pursuit by police, the vehicle stopped on Thornbury Road and the occupants fled from the car.
However, three teenage suspects were quickly detained and a weapon was recovered, which was later established to be an imitation firearm.
A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
Another 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and having an imitation firearm.
All of the suspects remain in custody as enquiries continue.
