Man charged with arson and burglary offences following Birmingham city centre supermarket fire
West Midlands Police have charged a man with arson and burglary offences following a fire at a Birmingham supermarket.

Bashar Alnajar, aged 25, of no fixed address, was remanded to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 18 for a first hearing.
He is charged with arson and burglary with intent to cause damage.
It follows a fire at a supermarket on Corporation Street in the early hours of Wednesday, September 17 morning.
Officers responded quickly to reports of a man in a building and made an arrest at the scene.
