'Minor disruption' at Birmingham A38 Queensway Tunnel as vehicle breaks down

Motorists have been warned to expect delays after a vehicle broke down in Birmingham.

West Midlands Roads has warned of 'minor disruption' due to a broken-down vehicle on the northbound A38 at the Queensway Tunnel, Birmingham

The broken-down vehicle was first reported by the roads authority at 7.17am, saying that one lane has become blocked and there is congestion on the approach.

On X, West Midlands Roads said: "A38 Queensway tunnel northbound Birmingham.

"Lane blocked. Broken down vehicle. Congestion on approach."

AA Travel News also warned of the 'stalled vehicle', reporting that one lane is closed and traffic is moving slow.

An alert said: "Stalled vehicle, lanes closed, slow traffic.

"One lane closed and slow traffic due to stalled vehicle on A38 Queensway Tunnel northbound after Lancaster Circus."
