Teenage boy appears in court after machete recovered by police taskforce in Birmingham
A teenage boy has appeared in court after West Midlands Police recovered a machete in Birmingham.

Officers from WMP Guardian Taskforce were patrolling around Kings Norton on Friday, August 15 night when they spotted suspicious activity.
They recovered a large machete from the area and a 13-year-old boy was charged with possession of a bladed article.
He appeared before magistrates on Monday, August 18 and will be making his next court appearance later in the month.
Project Guardian is a specialist taskforce which tackles knife crime and youth violence.
There is particular emphasis on reducing knife crime in under 25-year-olds, through a range of tactics from plain-clothed operations to high visibility patrols.
