Earlier this year, a litter of Sprocker puppies was born, and in honour of the heavy metal pioneers, West Midlands Police have given them names that pay tribute to the band’s legacy.

So, meet the force’s latest police pups: Ozzy, Toni, Sabbath, Billie, Wizard, Geezer… and Sharon.

Over the coming weeks, the playful pups will be settling into their new surroundings under the care of dedicated volunteer puppy walkers, who will help shape them into confident and capable police dogs.

These formative days are crucial to building the curiosity, courage, and obedience needed for their future roles in fighting crime and keeping communities safe.
