Man dies after falling off bike before hitting car in Birmingham
A man has died after falling off a bike before hitting a car in Birmingham.
The 27-year-old suffered serious injuries after the incident at the junction of Cranes Park Road and Warmington Road.
Paramedics tried to save the man after the incident at around 2.50pm, in Sheldon, on Sunday – but were unable to.
The man was riding a Triumph Speedmaster motorcycle, officers from West Midlands Police said.
Det Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “A young man has tragically lost his life and his family are naturally devastated.
"We have specialist officers supporting them at this difficult time.
"I am urgently appealing for anyone with information who hasn’t already spoken to us to make contact.
"I am particularly keen to hear from anybody who witnessed the collision or saw the bike just beforehand, and in particular may have CCTV or dashcam footage."
