Family funeral firm reports rise in cremations at its revamped cemetery and crematorium
A West Midlands-based cemetery and crematorium has reported a 20 per cent increase in cremations at its recently-renovated Burntwood site which underwent a £350,000 upgrade.
Hammerwich Cemetery and Crematorium, which was acquired by the award-winning A.W. Lymn - The Family Funeral Service, said there has been a rise in the number of funeral directors choosing the location for its cremations since it reopened in October.
The trend is expected to continue following the major refurbishment of the eight-acre site, located on the outskirts of Burntwood, near Lichfield.
The facility underwent a full chapel refurbishment with a new state-of-the-art audio and visual system installed.
