Elderly woman fights for life after serious crash near Wolverhampton
An elderly woman was left fighting for her life after a serious two-car crash on a busy road.
A silver BMW X6 and a grey Peugeot 208 were involved in the smash on the A41 near Albrighton.
The driver of the Peugeot, a woman in her 80s, was taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth hospital with what are believed to be critical injuries.
No-one else was hurt in the incident which happened around 4.40pm on Wednesday.
West Mercia Police has launched an investigation and appealed for anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident number 523S of December 20, 2017.
A force spokesman said: "Inquiries are currently ongoing but police would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident or people who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision."
