KFC to open new restaurant in West Bromwich - creating 30 new jobs

KFC is set to open a new restaurant in West Bromwich - creating more than 30 new jobs.
The fast food chain is bringing its finger lickin’ good chicken to Dudley Street as part of its £1.5 billion growth plan to grow its presence across the UK and Ireland.
KFC is taking over the former Big John’s premises at Carter’s Green and is set to open later this year.
No opening date has yet been given but, once open, the new eatery will serve up KFC's full menu of fried chicken favourites, including the recently launched Tenders & Dips range and its bold drinks range Kwench.
A spokesperson for KFC said: “West Bromwich, are you ready for finger lickin’ good chicken? The countdown is on as our brand-new KFC gets ready to take centre stage later this year. We’re making the final touches and can’t wait to welcome our first customers through the doors.”
It’s expected that the store will take part in KFC’s food donation programme that ensures surplus food is redistributed to people in need across the West Midlands via the Felix Partnership.
Big John’s announced in a Facebook post on September 21 that it was closing its West Bromwich restaurant from September 26 for some big changes.
The restaurant chain has since confirmed it has sold the Carters Green site to KFC and will be concentrating on its Birmingham venues.
The fast food takeaway business has 17 outlets across the city. The closest ones to West Bromwich are in Hagley Road West, Quinton, and Big John’s Soho Road outlet.
