Walsall care homes handed checklist amid second wave fears
Care homes across Walsall have been given a coronavirus checklist to prepare them for a potential second wave, a report has said.

Health chiefs said the the move was to ensure sites were Covid-secure and were able to cope with any outbreaks they face.
It comes as figures from earlier this year showed 34 out of 57 care homes in the area had reported a confirmed or suspected virus case.

A report, set to be discussed by chiefs tomorrow, said: "We have developed and distributed a checklist for care homes.
"This is supported by staff follow up to ensure the checklist is operating and that sites are Covid-secure [and] ready for a second wave."
