Imogen Summan, aged 11, spent 24 hours in the family bathroom to raise money for NHS charities, sleeping in the bath and not leaving the room for the full period.

Her mother Maya said Imogen had stayed excited about the challenge and spoke about how it came about.

She said: "Initially she wanted to do this challenge for fun but then said she wanted to try and raise some money.

"We really didn't think she would do it but she took it very seriously especially when I set up a Just Giving page.

"The donations started coming in and she became more and more motivated to complete the challenge.

"We are so very proud of her as she has been very strong about having to stay at home."

Codsall Middle School pupil Imogen has raised more than £460 to date, having originally set a target of £50.
