Full inquest to open for elderly patient who died from choking at Midland Metropolitan Hospital
An elderly patient died after choking on food at the new Midland Metropolitan Hospital.
A two-day inquest for Rashida Sultana, aged 76, who lived in Handsworth, will be held at Black Country Coroner’s Court in Oldbury from October 1.
The Birmingham pensioner died on November 20 two days after she was admitted to the hospital in Smethwick just a month after it opened its doors, due to concerns that she had suffered a stroke.
