Protesters today made an impassioned plea to Stafford residents to join them as they launch the "fight of our lives" to save the town's hospital.
It is planned that maternity services and intensive care will be withdrawn from Stafford while no major accident and emergency surgery will be carried out there.
The one-mile march set off on April 20, at 2pm from Market Square to the hospital.
Bands, clubs, community groups and medical staff are expected on the march.
