First look inside Peaky Blinders themed restaurant opening at Birmingham Airport
A Peaky Blinders themed bar and restaurant is set to open its doors at Birmingham Airport.
Shelby & Co will be ready to welcome customers at around 3am on Wednesday (December 18) in time for the first flights of the day.
The new eatery, which seats 290 people, is located near to Wetherspoon and opposite Starbucks in the airport's main departure lounge.
It is entirely Peaky Blinders themed - from the 1920s inspired decor right down to the menu.

Television screens playing clips from the programme can be spotted around the restaurant, while behind the scenes shots of Cillian Murphy, who plays Tommy Shelby on the drama, adorn the walls.

Customers can browse a range of merchandise on sale at the eatery, including a flat cap for £30, branded t-shirt for £20, and Peaky Blinders cocktail book for £12.99.
For those looking to quench their thirst while waiting for their flight, a bar awaits selling locally made alcohol including Cotswolds Gin and Attic beer, which is brewed just eight miles away from the airport, as well as cocktails inspired by the programme such as the 'Birmingham Sour'.

The restaurant caters for every meal of the day, with a 'Blinder Benedict' among the food offerings at breakfast, while the all-day menu includes The Tommy Burger, The Piggy Blinder toad in the hole wrap and The Birmingham Balti and a separate children's menu offers something for the youngsters.

And for those looking for a photo opportunity, there is the chance to take your own 'mugshot', pose in front of a giant map of Birmingham or peak through a hatch inspired by the pub on the programme, 'The Garrison'.

The eatery is operated by SSP UK and Ireland, which already runs five outlets at the airport.

Richard Gill, commercial director at Birmingham Airport said: "We are delighted to have come this far, it has been an 18-month process to get to this stage.
"I have travelled all over the world and one of the first things people say to me when they know I work at Birmingham Airport is 'Peaky Blinders'.

"The first travel location for a Peaky Blinders official licence bar and restaurant had to be Birmingham Airport - we couldn't let someone else go out and grab that before us.
"We want customers to live and breathe the Peaky Blinders brand and feel a sense of place at Birmingham Airport, the home of the Peaky Blinders.
"We want to evolve the customer on their outward journey - the holiday starts in the airport, so let's create a fun, exciting, vibrant bar and restaurant for them to start their holiday."

Mr Gill said Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight may pay a visit to the new restaurant soon.
He added: "Our first conversation was with Steven Knight on a call to say we would like to create this, we got the nod to do that, we went off with SSP, we then presented the concept back to Steven and the team.

"He has not seen it yet but we are hoping that he will visit early in the new year."
The restaurant will typically open at around 4am ready for the first departing flight of the day, and close at about 10pm, though opening times vary throughout the year.
The multi-award-winning Peaky Blinders was written and created by Steven Knight and distributed by Banijay Rights. It has sold in more than 183 countries and is widely available internationally on Netflix including in the USA.
A Peaky Blinders film, named 'The Immortal Man' is set to be released either late 2025 or early 2026, with filming crews having been spotted in a number of locations in recent weeks including at Bumble Hole Nature Reserve in Netherton.
