Plans submitted for new petrol station on car wash site in Pelsall
Plans have been submitted to build a new petrol station on the site of a car wash in Pelsall.
Raceway Fuels Limited, the owner of Prestige Gleam on Wolverhampton Road, has put forward proposals to demolish the existing buildings and replace them with a petrol station, kiosk, canopy, EV charging points and jet wash bays.
Agent Montagu Evans LLP said the existing site has a ‘tired appearance’ and is in ‘dire need’ of modification.
In 2018, the site was granted planning permission to be redeveloped into a petrol station, but this permission has since expired.
According to planning documents, the new station would create 15 full-time jobs.
Montagu Evans LLP said: “The proposed development will result in a significant enhancement to the appearance of the site, which is in dire need of modification.
“It will deliver a bespoke development in an appropriate location.
“Beyond visual and operational improvements, the proposal will result in economic benefits by way of the creation of 15 positions.”
