Two women taken to hospital after Stafford crash

Two women were taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Stafford.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Verulam Road and Common Road after the collision, which involved a grey Toyota and a silver Honda Civic.

Firefighters from Stafford Fire Station and Stone Fire Station released two women from the cars before paramedics took them both to hospital.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said any injures were not thought to be life threatening.

The incident happened at around 2.20pm yesterday afternoon and firefighters were first called to the scene at 2.36pm. Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
