Arrest over missing West Bromwich teenager
A man has been arrested on suspicion of abducting a teenage girl from West Bromwich, it was revealed this afternoon, as police said they were growing .increasingly concerned'.
Sabeela Waid, aged 13, was last seen by relatives on July 29 as she left her home, and police believe she could now be in east Birmingham.
Today it was revealed a man, aged 23, had been held on suspicion on of abduction and has now been released on bail.
Sabeela is around 5ft 3in tall and was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, grey skinny jeans and navy blue hi-top trainers with white laces.
Inspector Sally Ford, from West Bromwich police station, said: "Sabeela is not in any trouble but being only 13 we need to locate her and make sure she is safe and well.
"We believe that she may be in the Sparkhill or Bordesley Green area of Birmingham and we are urging people who may recognise Sabeela or know of her whereabouts to contact the police."
