Girl, 12, hit by car near to Walsall school

A girl was injured after being hit by a car – the latest accident on a route where hundreds of parents have called for a lollipop warden.

The 12-year-old was taken to the Manor Hospital following the collision in Park Hall Road, Walsall.

Emergency services were called at 3.30pm yesterday and her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

In a separate accident a car collided with another and hit two parked cars in Bloxwich Lane, Walsall, at around 5.25pm yesterday. The driver in the Fiesta managed to escape with only minor injuries.

The accident in Park Hall Road comes after more than 500 people have signed a petition calling for a lollipop warden near to the Park Hall junior and infant schools.

Earlier in the year a 10-year-old girl suffered a facial injury after being struck by a Fiat Punto.
