Taxi arsonist sets himself alight in West Bromwich
An arsonist caught fire as he torched a taxi parked at a social club in West Browmich in the early hours of today.
The man was caught on CCTV targeting the car, a silver Ford, which was parked at the Oakdale Social Club in Oak Lane, West Bromwich at 12.40am.
Police have now launched an appeal for information and said the suspect may have burn marks to his arm and face.
West Midlands Police spokesman Brigg Ford said: "CCTV shows a man torching the vehicle. The offender has also caught fire so he may have burn injuries to his right arm and face."
Crew commander Daniel Pellow from West Bromwich fire station, said: "When we arrived it was well alight. We used two hose reels and two breathing apparatus and police were informed."

Meanwhile, firefighters in Smethwick were called after a mobility scooter was set on fire in The Uplands at around 2am.
