Air ambulance scrambled after man suffers burns

A man has suffered burns to his face and flown to hospital after an incident with a flammable substance this afternoon at an industrial park in Cannock.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to commercial premises in Watling Street, Bridgtown, shortly after 2.20pm today.

An ambulance crew and the Midland Air Ambulance from Cosford attended.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Chris Kowalik said: "The man, who is in his 50s, had burns to his face and was flown to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham."

The air ambulance left the scene around 3.30pm.
