Dog dies after Brierley Hill canal fall
An elderly dog drowned after it fell into an icy canal in Brierley Hill.

The Shitsu dog which suffered with ill health and sight problems fell in between two locks at the canal on Mill Street at about 1pm yesterday.
The dog which had wandered away from its home nearby was discovered by his owners struggling in the water.
The couple rushed for help, but when they returned the dog had gone under.
By the time fire crews from Brierley Hill arrived the dog had died.
