Family escapes Walsall house fire as laptop overheats
A family of five were evacuated from their home today after a laptop overheated and set fire to a sofa.

A couple and their three children were woken by smoke alarms at their Forest Avenue house, in Leamore, Walsall, at around 3.28am.
Firefighters from Bloxwich and Walsall attending discovered a computer which had been left on charge overnight had caught fire in the living room.
Watch Commander Richard Cooper, of Bloxwich, said the flames spread from the battery pack to the carpet and the settee.
