Pensioner flees Featherstone fire with dog
An 89-year-old man and his pet dog today fled their Featherstone home after a fire broke out in a fridge freezer.

The kitchen and dining room of the property in Brookhouse Close were badly damaged.
Crews from Brewood and Cannock arrived at 9am and found the man waiting outside in his dressing gown with his pet dog.
Crews today praised the man for his quick escape.
