The driver of one of the cars had been able to get out before fire crews arrived.
But firefighters had to cut the roof off the other car, a Vauxhall Astra, to free the teenagers. They were trea-ted by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital with suspected chest and spine injuries. Crews from Wednesbury and Walsall fire stations attended.
West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Steve Parry said as well as a doctor and two ambulances, the specialist hazardous area team was also sent to the scene. One of the men was taken to Sandwell Hospital, the other to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
