'Too often, we've had to say no - but not anymore' - Oldbury primary school shares 'delight' over new £12,000 minibus

A primary school situated in Oldbury has expressed 'delight' after they have raised enough funds to get access to its very own school minibus.

The school shared that they have raised £10,000 from donations and fundraising and the minibus had a cost of £12,000. 

On a recent Express & Star visit to the Burnt Tree Primary School in Oldbury, headteacher, Jayne Bayliss was pleased to get into the driving seat of the school's new minibus. The primary school has 466 pupils, between the ages of three and 11, according to its deputy teacher, Matt Brazier. 

Burnt Tree Primary School has around 446 pupils from Nursery through to Year 6.

After months of fundraising, through a mixture of a GoFundMe page, Christmas Fair and 'Break the Rules' Day school event for pupils and many community donations. The Oldbury school was finally able to purchase a good quality minibus for its pupils.
