Historic Wolverhampton school with dynamic approach and great community thrilled to be named as one of top schools in country
A Wolverhampton school with more than 500 years of history has been celebrating after being named on a list of some of the top schools in the country.
Wolverhampton Grammar School has been named on Talk Education's Top 250 Schools list, being listed as one of the top prep or secondary schools across the United Kingdom.
Both the junior school and the main Grammar school were named on the list alongside notable schools such as Marlborough College and Rugby School and were the only school from the Black Country and Staffordshire to be named on the list.
Talk Education said the schools were chosen for the list based on a range of criteria and put together based on a process involving experts in the field.
A spokesman said: "Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions any parent will make.
"Our Top 250 Schools list has been curated following a rigorous process, spearheaded by our editorial panel and hugely experienced research team.
"Rather than relying solely on academic results or rankings, our team has spent thousands of hours snooping around schools, meeting heads and teachers, chatting to pupils and and tuning into the local grapevine to really get under the skin of what makes a school so special.
