'It feels like home' - Official opening of £61 million Wolverhampton College city campus welcomed by staff and students
The new multi-million-pound Wolverhampton College city campus has been officially opened.
The four-storey campus, in Wolverhampton city centre, is the flagship building in Wolverhampton Council's £61 million City Learning Quarter and replaces the college's 63-year-old campus which was based in Paget Road in Compton.
It was officially opened on Wednesday the official opening event included ribbon-cutting performed by West End star and former student Nicole Louise Lewis alongside West Midlands mayor Richard Parker, Wolverhampton mayor Councillor Craig Collingswood, the council's jobs and skills cabinet member Councillor Chris Burden, mayor, council leader Steve Simkins and college principal Louise Fall.

"It warms my heart because it has been such a long time coming and I'm very proud to be the principal and to have this facility right in the heart of the city.

"We moved in four weeks ago at the start of the college year and already it feels like home. The students have adapted well to the building and the new environment and the staff have responded well to the change from Paget Road to the state-of-the art facilities.
