14 nostalgic photos showing the history of Wolverhampton College's Paget Road Campus as it closes
As the staff and students bid farewell to an historic college campus, it has been a time to take a look back at what made it such a special place.
With the final farewell having been made by staff on Thursday and students at the end of last week, the time has come for the Paget Road campus of Wolverhampton College to close for the final time.
The campus, which has been open since 1962, is closing for good as students move into the new City Learning Quarter campus in Wolverhampton city centre in November.
It means the end of more than 60 years of students entering the doors for the first time, going to lectures and other classes, visiting the canteen and common rooms and being immersed in the world of further education.
It was a place which inspired and helped to guide students young and old and carries so many memories for those people who attended courses and moved onto university, apprenticeships or into the working world.
We've found 14 photos which show the history of the college, the people who learned there and taught there and everything that shows why the building will be a much-missed part of city life.
