This summer, 79 per cent of Year 11 students achieved five or more GCSEs at grade C or above.

Around 40 per cent achieved five or more GCSEs at grade C or above including English and mathematics and 14 per cent achieved the English Baccalaureate.

Principal Graham Lloyd says: "Everyone connected with the academy is immensely proud of our success.

"Our students work very hard and are serious about their learning and we have excellent relationships between home and academy.

"I have a team of well-qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic staff and governors who strive to ensure that every student has the opportunity to be the best they can be.

"Our first year as an academy has brought with it a wide range of new and exciting opportunities.

"Holly Hall is small enough to care and knows its students and their families well.

"However, it is also large enough to deliver an increasing number of personalised learning programmes designed to meet the needs of each individual student.

"The academy seeks to promote healthy minds in healthy bodies and develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes which enable students to not only be successful with their learning, but to go on to become active citizens who will enjoy a sound economic future and make a positive contribution to their community."

Holly Hall has an inclusive ethos, striving to meet the needs of all its students whatever their ability and circumstances.

The academy enjoys both a local and national reputation for its work as it lives up to its vision of "Excellence for Everyone".

An open evening takes place on Monday, October 8 – the first step in a journey to be part of the success story.
