School celebrates tip-top inspection
The new headteacher at a Penkridge school is celebrating the success of his colleagues and pupils after a clean bill of health from Ofsted inspectors.

Graham Starling, who joined the school this month, is now hoping to build on the work of his predecessor Christine Lord, who retired from her post at Princefield First School on the last day of last term after 15 years. Just before Christmas, Princefield was visited by two Government inspectors and was judged to be good, with some outstanding features.
The inspectors said "pupils' personal development and well-being is nurtured in a welcoming environment that supports their excellent enjoyment of the school".
They felt lessons were stimulating and interesting and that this contributed to the children's positive attitude to learning.
Mr Starling said he is thrilled to be joining a school that has achieved so much. He said: "This report shows that Princefield is a fantastic school. The success is down to the hard work of everyone involved, including staff, governors, parents and children.
"I am so pleased that this commitment and hard work has been recognised and rewarded. I would like to congratulate everyone involved."
Among the subjects being studied is home-life across the world as studied by nursery children.
There is a particular on the Inuits and Chinese New Year celebrations, with song, dance, cooking and role play.
Key stage one children are studying transport and each group has taken the classroom outdoors onto the car park, where they have conducted their own survey on vehicles passing the school.
The Second World War is the topic for key stage two children and they are busy making identity cards, ration books, war posters and are looking forward to visiting Shugborough's Second World War events.
