Driver with no licence facing prosecution for alleged "erratic" driving

West Midlands Police officers have seized a car from a motorist who was spotted driving erratically.

The forces traffic unit used automatic number plate technology to find the silver BMW after other drivers reported it.

On Monday West Midlands Police traffic unit posted on X: “ @Trafficwmp This vehicle was reported to us driving erratically, trying to use flashing amber lights to stop other cars.

“Our #ANPR team quickly found and seized the vehicle and prosecuted the driver as it had no insurance, was notified off road and the driver had no licence.”
