Crooked House super fan with a hat to match hopes to preserve history for future generations
Crooked House super fan, historian and campaigner Tony Jeffries has had a busy start to 2025 as he continues to publicise and archive the plight and history of the famous old building.
He has made three videos on the famous pub including one on its history, a timeline of events since it was burned down and destroyed in August 2023 and another on the anniversary of the events, when a rally and music event was held at Himley Hall.
As well as that he produced a hat with a model of the Crooked House on top of it made by artist Chris Weaver which he has been adding to himself.
He now hopes to donate the hat in a glass frame and the videos to Dudley Archives so people in the Black Country can view them at their leisure when they visit the Tipton Road site

The retired electrician has been part of campaign groups fighting to re-build the famous Himley Pub - known as Britain's wonkiest - brick by brick and donned the hat at the one year anniversary in August last year - it proved quite a talking point,

And he has spent 14 hour days adding to the model on top of it - it included adding beer glasses in the front garden, a wheel which was in place and even working lighting.
Tony used to work in television and radio production and has made films before, his YouTube channel includes films on the Swan Village Gas Works and Hill Top School in West Bromwich.
He said: "Adding to the Crooked House model has tested me both in terms of the amount of hours I have spent on it and mentally.
"It has been similar on the films I have produced, which take a lot of producing if you allow for the hours editing, adding music and things like that, it's not a quick process if you want to get it right.
"The hat and model. which was made by Chris but added to by me is my way if you like of highlighting not only the plight of the Crooked House - the history of it which of course dates back to the 1830s as a pub.
"I hope by giving them to the archives as I want to with the Swan Village and Hill Top School films to Sandwell, it will help preserve some important Black Country history."
